Throwing Your Best Holiday Party

20 November 2017

We all hate to admit it, but holiday parties can often feel a bit stuffy and are slightly stressful for those throwing it.  Here are a few ideas you can incorporate in your next event to spice things up a bit, making sure everyone has a good time!

Take Your Holiday Party Off Site

Having people at your home means you have to think about your furniture, your bathroom situation, and your capacity in the kitchen.  Taking your event somewhere else forces you to give up the reins a bit.  It allows you to build out your event without feeling like your party decor is clashing with your home decor.  The Rutherford hosted many events this holiday season, from office parties and The Junior League of Greenville’s Sip and Shop, to family gatherings and birthday parties.

Baby it’s Cold Outside

Don’t let the cooler weather keep you inside.  Put your obsession with blankets to use by setting up a Snuggle Up Station.  We also love the idea of S’mores next to the fire pit and pairing that with a Hot Chocolate or Cider Bar.  Get your guests up and dancing by featuring some live music!  Trust us, people won’t even notice the cold.

Focus on the Food

So we just talked about the S’mores station and the Hot Chocolate Bar.  But it doesn’t have to stop there.  There are tons of great food stations that pair with cold weather and holiday fun.  Let your guests decorate their own cookies or dip their own caramel apples.  What about a Soup Bar, Baked Potato Station or a huge charcuterie table?
