2018 Wedding Color Trends

Remember our list of top Wedding Trends to be on the lookout for in 2018? Let’s take it one step further and explore some color palettes options.

Burgundy

We might be partial to the burgundy trend because it’s the shade of red wine… which essentially means that your bridesmaids can really let loose on the dance floor knowing that even if they spill a little bit of their drink, they’ll be REDy to rock in no time.

Burgundy’s rich hue has a high class and sophistication to it and pairs really well with navy, gold, and greenery. Spring time wedding? Pair it with some pops of soft orange, purples, and dusty rose… Which just so happens to also make the 2018 list.

Dusty Rose

Gone are the days of Barbie pink. The soft, muted pinks are so easy to incorporate across all aspects of your wedding. Not only will your bridesmaids love their dresses, it’s also the perfect excuse to serve rosé and cotton candy.

Fun fact: Dusty Rose is also the name of Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo’s little girl… Maybe a surprise performance from Maroon 5? Sugar, yes please.

Neutrals

The best part of a neutral color scheme is the fact that it’s, well, neutral. You can add slight pops of color to tie in to the season, the location, and the overall vibe of your wedding. Add mauve or sage for a more earthy feel, or copper and blue grey for a nautical theme. You really can’t go wrong with the crisp tones.

Might we also add that our boxwood wall and columns at The Rutherford are the perfect complement to literally any of these colors. You get the pop of green you want, without feeling like you have a ton of competing colors!

We’ve set up a Pinterest board with more ideas on how to incorporate 2018’s top color.  Reach out to Yasha at info@therutherfordgreenville.com to schedule a tour of The Rutherford!
